Why Trump won

That took a few seconds to find.

Yes, seconds…

I provided proof from Trump’s mouth.

took me seconds again…

He offered a compromise. The Democrats rejected it…what is their proposal?

You realize there’s options between deportation and amnesty, right?

What are you mad about? You hated the idea Trump wanted to deport all illegals. Now he says just criminals which is closer to what you want. Now you’re mad he changed his mind on a policy you were completely against?

Do you want me to laugh or…no, I better laugh…ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaa

Come on marcus! You said “I provided proof from Trump’s mouth” but you brought me a news report where there is somebody like you and I calling “dummies” to those who don’t believe Con Donald is telling the truth!

This is not Twhitler talking! Gee man! Do you read what you bring to the forum? Really?

Read, this is something he never said. This is something from the horse’s mouth!

It breaks into three parts: Wall; Bad Ones; Good Ones.

The wall along our border with Mexico is the key, because it will be huge and flawless and impenetrable. It will also reinforce the idea that America welcomes immigrants, as long as they come in through one big, beautiful door where we will check to make sure that they are “good ones.”

The checking for good ones policy is how we avoid the bad ones. Which brings us to the second part of the plan: the kicking out of the bad ones.

Our law enforcement officers — who are great — know exactly who all the bad ones are:stuck_out_tongue:. Still, the police — who are the best — do nothing about the bad ones because Trump is not president. When Trump is president, they — the cops, who are excellent — will round them all up — the bad ones — and make America safe again.

Easy.

The third part, of course, is the good ones. They have to leave, absolutely, no question, unless Trump decides to let them stay, in which case that is a very good and humane idea.

If they do leave, which they probably will, they can come back in through the beautiful wall door, and they will each get a Make America Great Again hat, totally free, except for a handling fee of $15 <-------:stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. Very fair, it’s a nice hat.

If they don’t leave, which they will — leave, I mean — probably, they will have to do stuff in order to stay. Lots of stuff. The best stuff, really.

And that’s it. That’s the policy. It’s what Trump has been saying since he launched his campaign by winning over Latino voters with the suggestion that most immigrants are rapists and drug dealers.

No doubt her campaign was flawed but she did get 3 million more votes than Trump. I would say her biggest flaw was ignoring the rust belt. Trump campaigned heavily there and got some extra help from Russia w/ Facebook propaganda campaigns targeting those voters.

Dems have a battle for 2018 because even if they have a great deal of support, they have been out gerrymandered by the GOP in most of the US.

The GOP isn’t the party of Lincoln/Reagan anymore. It’s the authoritarian, ethonationalist party. Even George W has expressed concerns recently. When GWB sounds like a member of the liberal resistance, we should all be worried.

IR, as the immigration reform is called, has been in the books since 2004, correct me if I am wrong. Even Bush like the idea, and when Obama entered the white house, what compromise the republicans talked about? Mitch the turtle McConnell stood up there and promised to make Obama not only one time president but never work with him on anything when the country needed all Americans to work together.

So, tell me, when did the republicans compromise on anything about immigration? NEVER!

You can’t speak about illegal immigration as something to be taken from a humane point of view when you parade the victims of “those illegals” you are talking about. It demonizes them, it is putting a face of hypocrisy, as a “well, I want to help them but see, they are criminals”.

Criminals have been deported from long time, nothing new here. Amnesty-immigration reform has been in the books for almost 14 years now. Who wanted to go ahead with that plan? Democrats. Republicans? Oh well, even Bush who liked the idea was ostracized by his own party, calling him a little bit socialist.

Stop distracting, the point is that Twhitler never spoke of amnesty. Period!

We can go back 16 years and point fingers, or make a compromise now. .Will the Democrats make a deal…Trump wants to deal…He likes making deals…The Democrats have a choice, make a deal or spend the next two years at street rallies…That will end badly for them

Trump is not really a Republican. …He doesn’t carry Mitch McConnells baggage…He can say whatever he feels like…The Democrats have their own baggage. .Let him build his wall…it wont work anyway…But it will allow the conservatives to think about letting many stay without calling it amnesty, which is the third rail…If everyone digs in, nothing will happen, just like under Bush…

I didn’t say he spoke of amnesty. Apparently you live in a world where there’s deportation or amnesty. There’s nothing between those two. I can see this is pointless when you can’t understand the basics. Good luck!

Did Trump check with his fellow Republicans in congress and his own cabinet? I am not sure how many share his new stand on immigration. Before democrats can “compromise” on any deal, first there needs to be a deal from the so-called unified republican government.

Trump is walking a fine line…He knows the conservatives dont want to compromise and nor do the Democrats. …Maybe he is crazy like a fox, or just plan crazy. .But lets be real our immigraion policy is already crazy…

Yes maybe like only Nixon can go to china only trump can do real immigration reform. I am willing to be open minded. And that’s why I mentioned single payer. Maybe only trump can deliver single payer? He has many cult followers. Not too long ago GOP was the party of free trade. Now trump twisted it into a party of protectionism. Really impressive.

Regardless of any deals made, there will be rallies in the street for as long as he is president. He goes against American ideals - free press, separation of church and state, democracy.

Yes, perhaps letting him fail bigly on the wall, bringing back coal jobs, etc is in the best interest of the country.

Yes, he is on his own, but may likely fail to unite both parties like the way Obama did. Whatever Rep. were shown to Obama, Trump may get it back from Dem. I saw everything going on party lines, there is no unity and I do not think unity will come in future.

His ideas are almost like republicans.

The changes he suggested in place of Obamacare is get rid of government support, let the people buy medical insurance anywhere they prefer like the way we buy Auto-insurance. Government provides tax credit for medical insurance. This will not give better choice for low income people, but free up government control and lot of low income people suffer in the long run. With this, it is easy to abolish 3.4% tax on wealthy ! It is going to be like mortgage tax deduction initiative.

As long as he makes corporate tax to 15%, we may expect cash will flow from outside world into USA. This will help grow economy, but main beneficiary is wealthy first, then trickle down to locals.

But one thing - for sure - at the end of his tenure, either 4 years or 8 years or even after 6 years, US will go into recession mode as financial deregulation is going to be implemented. Again, wealthy - especially savers and investors - may escape the recession, but non-savers and poor people will not be able to withstand the recessionary pressure.

Stocks are going crazy as expected, real estate will also go fine until next downturn which is not near in 2 to 3 years (I guess so).

Above all, he needs lot of cash for his plans, be it defense or tax reduction etc, and it is really tough. Let us wait and see…

I know a lot of people will always hate Trump…Me included…But he is starting to look like Nixon…I hoped he would be more like Reagan, but due to his personality flaws he will be lucky to be as effective as Nixon…Nixon actually accomplished a lot even with huge negatives. .My partner in my Sac apartments loves Trump…In fact he uses Trumps negotiation style. …Come on scary and crazy…Beat up your competitor…Take no prisoners, then settle for 20% less than you want, when you actually would have taken 50%…Sure it is rude and crude, but it works…Americans voted for this Queen’s barbarian partly because of his obnoxious style…It is like hiring the most aggressive ruthless attorney to win a case…Like a junk yard dog…works good, until he turns on you…I hated Nixon, too, but I was very happy when he ended the draft…If Trump accomplishes a few of his stated goals he might even be moderately successful. .
